Fences
The idea that there can be something at all has often been at the basis of my work. It gave "A Line" it's title, a line differentiates between this side and that, without it we're all on the same side.

Here the concept returns in a slightly different form. Fences are a metaphor for the way that one can organize thoughts and ideas, a good thing in many ways, but when the fences multiply and the gradations become too fine they start to lose their utilty.
