"a short study of envelopes" examines issues of structure and scale. In a series of extreme close-ups of the human body the viewer is taken in a game of "where-is-that/what-is-that". It's interesting to me that even with the familiarity that we can have with our own body, our envelope, the guessing game often stays in a mysterious, nebulous level.
Another element that is approached for the first time in my work in such a direct manner is the concept of desire, this was slightly forshadowed by the "dream" and the "itch" series. Elements of "envelope" are recently evolved to find their way in a more recent work entitled "Project for a Grey Dress in New York"
